A brief programming note
Ever since I started You, Me and An Album in December 2020, my goal has been to publish an episode every Sunday. Now that it’s October 2023, I can look back and see that I’ve been pretty successful in getting an episode out every single week. The latest episode with Rachel Lichtman was Ep 136, so if you do some quick math, I’d be just short of 150 episodes by the end of this year. At just under 50 episodes a year for three years, I’ve been pretty consistent about publishing.
For the time being, I am going to have to slow down my publishing schedule. While I’m not happy about having to publish fewer episodes, I am happy for the reason. I’ve just started a new freelance gig with American Songwriter, and I’ll be sufficiently busy that I can already see that publishing weekly episodes of YMAAA just isn’t going to be realistic right now.
I’ve already recorded Ep 137 with Ex Hex’s Laura Harris, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. However, instead of coming out this weekend, it will drop the following weekend. My tentative plan going forward is to publish episodes every other week on Sundays.
I am hopeful to return to a weekly schedule as soon as possible and will let you know when it looks like I’ll be able to do that. I’m grateful for everyone who listens to the podcast and thank you for your support!

Congrats on the new gig! Look forward to seeing what you do there - and to more YMAAs, too, of course.
Excellent! Congratulations Al, both on the new freelance gig and the (close enough) milestone! Thank you for what you do!
